Casey wandered aimlessly in the forest. She had dissappeared before classes had started on the Friday and had come to explore the forest but had gotten lost. It was now Sunday and she was still in the forest, luckily she hadn't run into anything. Casey stopped and shut her eyes, attempting to remember the way she had come in a few days ago. She knew she was deep in the forest, she could tell because she couldn't see the sky through the canopy of trees above. The only light she had was her wand tip, which she had put out in fear of being found by some kind of creature. Hunger pains lanced up her side and she gritted her teeth. Casey sat down under a tree and wrapped her arms around her legs. If I die in here so be it. She thought, leaning slightly against the tree. Casey felt a shiver go up her spine and had the feeling she was being watched. She glanced around cautiously but saw nothing.

A big buff hippogriff came out of the bushes and stopped on the ground making chirping noises.

"Buckbeak?" Casey asked uncertainly. She dipped her head slightly in a half bow, remembering Hagrid's lesson.

The hippogriff jerked its head. He bowed.

Casey stood up slowly and walked over to him. She rubbed his nose for awhile. "Alright, which way home?" She asked, not sure if she was expecting an answer or not.

BuckBeak pulled her robe sleeve to the entrance of the forest.

Casey stood on the edge of the forest for awhile, not really wanting to go back to the castle. She knew that her absence had probably been noted and that when she showed up and said she had been lost in the forest for the entire time she'd be in trouble. She rubbed Buckbeak's head and stared absent mindedly at the castle, finally deciding not to go back, she sat down on a boulder near the edge. She looked at Buckbeak. "Aren't you supposed to be tied up in Hagrids yard or something?" she asked.

"Woah, wasn't actually expecting a response there..." Casey said softly. She glanced up at the castle, it was starting to get dark. "I gotta go before I get into more trouble for being out late too" She said, patting him on the head again then heading towards the school.
