She had left the two boys at The Three Broomsticks to allow her some time for herself. She wasn't suppose to leave by herself as Mrs. Weasley had strictly instructed her not too but she couldn't just sit there any longer as if nothing was wrong. How was she suppose to go on like this? It wasn't right to have to put on a face in front of her two best friends. They had come too far and been through too much to let such a tedious matter get in between them. For all she remembered she had thought all was well between the two of them. When Ron and broken up with Lavender at the end of their sixth year all was suppose to be better. Actually she was a tad bit happy that Ron did break up with Lavender. One more of their public snog sessions and Hermione would've gone berserk, might've done something herself that she might have regretted in the future. But even with the two broken up she wasn't completely happy. Something in her heart told her something was wrong about all this. How could he just carelessly throw Lavender aside like that? How could he have gone to her in the first place?
No matter what she tried to do she couldn't get that out of her head. The way she saw Ron...it was just different now. He isn't the same...as weird as that may sound. She knew that this Ron was the same Ron as the years before and yet he was completely different. It was hard to explain. And it's not like she could talk to anyone about this either. Harry has enough on his plate. Ginny, well, she's his sister. Any other persons she might have thought to talk to was the queen of dating...Lavender but of course that wouldn't be a good idea. None the less this matter shouldn't be one on top of her mind. She was still here for a reason...school supplies. Searching down her list the books were at the very top and so made her mind up to go to Florish and Blotts, the best place to fill your supply of books.
Hearing the light jingle of the bells at the doors as she walked in, the vast room filled to the top with books and that smell of old and new parchment and ink - this was her haven. Her books were her source of relaxation and something you could count on always being there when needed. She smiled for a few short seconds the thought of Ron far from her mind. Walking straight forward and not even bothering to check which sort of book she grabbed and opened up to a random page. These small lettering held so much knowledge in them. It was mind-boggling how such things as letters representing the idea of a sound could be put together to create something like a book. It was astounding.
Her head still ducked, she turns to find a place to sit for a few hours and let Harry and Ron come find her. Realizing how dangerous it is for someone to walk around with their head buried in a book came to a sudden halt right before bumping into someone. From the initial shock of someone being thrusted into her personal bubble just silently gaped at the person, taking in their features and yet not really making out a image in her blank mind. After the initial shock she quickly realized how it may seem to this person for her to be just staring. "Oh Merlin. I'm so sorry. Didn't mean to invade your personal space," she says sheepishly taking a step backwards, still quite startled to recognize who she was speaking to, that is if she even recognzied who this person might be.
